SHELTER found and recycled acrylic pieces, acrylic paint, uv spot.
This is a painted response to the theme of shelter as the paint conveys the humanity, the human hand and paint can be used by anyone to express themselves visually.
The light changes by day, during the day and into dusk and night. The uv spot creates an incredible warm, human glow…. I used pink because of the common associations with love, warmth, protection and humanity.
This is a temporary shelter, just found objects ( found different pieces of acrylics) leant against the wall is a basic shelter for any animal or person. We make these shelters as children. Inside it is safe it gives a temporary respite to what is happening outside.
We can enjoy looking at the formal elements and enjoy the magic as it changes as the time, day and place changes too.
This is for everyone, everywhere and exists with hope in a recognised common humanity. c.DEC 24
