Love, Peace and Hope. (A painting created in 3 Acts).

This November artist Kathy Williams will take over 3 street facing windows to create a sequence of 3 site specific paintings that explore the themes of love, peace and hope. The first work will be hung inside the window and will be her painted response to the place and time of year and based on the theme of Love. Two weeks later, and for over the Christmas period, she will create a second, responsive painting based on the theme of Peace. Finally, for the new year, 2025, Kathy will morph the work again, into its final state, to incorporate the theme of Hope. Each sequence of work will be determined by responses and context of place and time of year. The artist does not know what the 2nd or 3rd painting will look like until the whole live exhibition begins and develops.
Williams will announce regular dates and times when she will be with the work and will invite the public to choose a brush and colour and add their visual thoughts to the work from the outside. An unpredictable visual dialogue will take place as the public access abstract contemporary painting, understand some of the process and value of expression with paint, and have ownership of the work they are contributing to.
